Chapter 133: 133
──────
Right after returning to reality, I immediately opened my status window.
[Baek Jiho (Republic of Korea: Floor 43)]
[3,451,000 Points]
Then I saw it.
The overwhelming number, 3.45 million.
I murmured quietly.
“Ah, this cool, weighty feeling. It’s been a whole day.”
Yesterday, I’d been nothing more than a pathetic wimp who had earned a mere 40,000 Points.
For an entire day, I had lived as trash too incompetent to earn even 100,000 Points.
That long period of humiliation and oppression...
I’d been sick of it.
But now, that was over.
Today, I had earned 3.45 million Points!
“It’s time for Baek Jiho, the ‘Extreme Lunatic Hell Wizard Hunter,’ to return!!!”
3.45 million.
Enough Points to save 6 percent of King Korea’s population.
Enough Points to save the entire population of Busan Metropolitan City.
And I’d earned them all in a single day!
At this point, I could puff out my chest and live proudly again!
“You seem excited, Jiho.”
“Of course I’m excited! I earned 3.45 million Points! I saved millions of people in our country. Aren’t you happy too, Hyeji?”
“No... To be honest, I guess I’m getting used to it. No matter how many Points you bring back, it just feels normal now.”
“Oh dear. You’ve gotten used to me.”
Apparently, Hyeji wasn’t all that surprised by the number of Points I had earned.
Well, Hyeji had watched me consistently bring back hundreds of thousands every day.
Hyeji’s Point threshold had simply risen.
It was a little disappointing.
Watching Hyeji get startled every time and puffing out my chest had felt pretty good.
Still, that was fine.
Our party had acquired someone new to handle reactions!
“Holy shit... 3.45 million Points?”
“That’s me.”
“You earned 3.45 million Points in one day? This is fucking insane. I’d have to bust my ass for an entire month just to maybe earn that much. How the hell did you do that in a single day...?! This is ridiculous...”
Choi Yejin stared at my status window with her mouth hanging open.
Choi Yejin had been like that all day in the Tower, and still looked like that after returning to reality.
Seriously, these mediocre people!
Getting shocked over something this minor!
That aside...
“Choi Yejin. Are you having any trouble writing the strategy guide post?”
I glanced at the maps and documents in Choi Yejin’s hands.
They were a kind of strategy log.
Apparently, Highest Floor Hunters usually wrote strategy logs and maps as soon as they returned. Information from the Highest Floors was valuable, so they carefully recorded their clearing methods.
And Choi Yejin was a veteran Hunter who had spent years grinding away in the Highest Floors!
Choi Yejin would handle the strategy log just fine, right?
In response to my question...
“What the hell do you mean, no trouble?”
Choi Yejin deeply furrowed her brow.
Rustle.
Choi Yejin unfolded a map and shoved it in front of my face.
“You changed all the terrain.”
“?”
“Here. This used to be a canyon, but you blew away the mountainside. This riverbed got overturned by your Fireballs. I can’t properly remember what the original terrain looked like.”
“Then just draw it how it looks now.”
“A strategy map isn’t supposed to show what it looks like after you’ve been through it!”
Oh, was that how it worked?
Well, even if I caused all kinds of chaos, it wouldn’t affect anyone else’s Tower.
“Still, it should be valuable overall. We covered a huge area on Floor 42. The map might not be precise, but it’ll cover a lot of ground... At the very least, we can sell information about monster distribution for a high price.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah. Thanks to that fairy, our mobility was absurd. On top of that, you killed almost every monster, so we figured out the rough monster distribution on Floor 42 pretty accurately. If we hand this over to the government, they can sell it to other countries at a high price.”
“Ooh.”
To sum it up, thanks to Iing Iing’s mobility and my clean-sweep monster-killing ability, we had collected some high-quality information.
We had mapped out Floor 42’s overall layout and monster distribution!
Apparently, countries that had not completely cleared Floor 42 would pay a high price for it.
“They could probably sell it to the Middle East or South America. Oh, Israel recently cleared Floor 41, didn’t it? They might buy it for a lot too.”
“Oho.”
Information about the Highest Floors really was scarce.
Countries were trading it with one another.
Well, I had heard that when our country was still trying to clear Floor 41, it bought related information from the United States for a high price.
Anyway, I decided to leave the watered-down strategy guide post and the information sales to Choi Yejin.
Now it was time for me to do my work!
I picked up my smartphone.

...
As I typed away on Hunter Gallery, Hyeji, who was standing beside me, asked a question.
“Huh? Jiho, are you writing a strategy guide post? Wasn’t Choi Yejin supposed to write that?”
“What Yejin is writing is a watered-down information post for the Raid Team and foreign sales.”
“A watered-down version? Then what are you writing?”
“A real strategy guide post, not some worthless watered-down version.”
Hyeji tilted her head.
Ah, did Hyeji not know?
My ambition to carry on the will of Hunter Kim Taeseok, who had retired!
“I made a vow yesterday. I’m going to become the next strategy guide legend.”
“...So what are you going to write?”
“A real clearing method that I personally experienced, verified, and used! I’m going to leave a guide for the Extreme Lunatic Hell Wizard Hunter on Hunter Gallery!”
Not a strategy guide post for mediocre people like the one Choi Yejin was writing.
Not some suitably edited, downgraded strategy guide post for ordinary folks.
A real clearing method!
An original, authentic clearing method!
I intended to upload it to Hunter Gallery.
It was my own way of paying respect to Hunter Kim Taeseok, who had climbed the Tower in real time and written immersive strategy guide posts from the field.
Watch over me from your hospital bed, Uncle Taeseok!
I’ll become the next strategy guide legend!!!
As I declared my grand ambition, Choi Yejin, who had been organizing the maps, raised her head.
“Don’t tell me you’re going to write something like, ‘Just use Railgun once,’ again?”
“Oh. As expected of Yejin. You’re starting to understand me.”
“Don’t write it, you crazy bastard.”
Why not?
It wasn’t false information.
“Yejin, you write a strategy guide post for mediocre people. How to target an Ogre’s joints, how to stop a Troll’s regeneration. Annoying, worthless stuff like that.”
“That’s what a normal strategy guide post is.”
“So Hunter Choi Yejin will upload a proper post to the Raid Team, while Jiho will write a weird post on Hunter Gallery?”
“What do you mean, weird? It’s a storied strategy guide post from the second strategy guide legend!”
“If Hunter Kim Taeseok sees it, he’ll cry.”
“Tears of joy?”
“...”
Hyeji shook her head, while Choi Yejin muttered, “Crazy bastard...” and buried her face in the map again.
Why were they reacting like that?
In this moving moment of carrying on my predecessor’s will, wouldn’t a normal reaction be to burst into tears and tremble with emotion?
Anyway!
I quickly wrote the post.

This non-newbie Hunter...
Today I went to Floor 42.
But today’s climb was kind of scary.
It was the first floor I entered without a strategy guide post or advance information...
The fear of the unknown made my whole body shake, you know?
It was so scary T_T
So I just killed them all T_T
Oh, right.
Nobody in our country has cleared Floor 42 yet, so there weren’t any strategy guide posts.
So, carrying on the will of Hunter Kim Taeseok, the strategy guide legend, I’m planning to serialize strategy guide posts on Hunter Gallery from now on.
I hope you’ll all check them out!
Anyway, I’m writing a strategy guide post!
It’s my first time writing one, so I’m still very inexperienced. Please keep that in mind lol
First, when you look around after starting, there’ll be something like a fortress wall, and monsters like Ogres and Trolls will be wandering nearby.
You know the first step of a strategy guide post is scouting, right?
So first, climb onto the fortress wall, which is high ground.
Getting up is easy.
Transform into Longbow Apache Mode, then fly up onto the wall.
Once you get up there, you’ll have a clear view.
If you look north, you’ll see refugees being attacked by Large Monsters around 30 to 40 kilometers away.
It would be nice to save them.
By the way, saving them isn’t hard.
Snipe the monsters from far away with a Level 5 Electromagnetic Cannon Railgun, and you can save the refugees right before they get hit, yeah.
Also, you’ll find out after killing the monsters and saving the refugees.
They look incredibly miserable.
Kids and adults alike are exhausted, wounded, and starving...
But if you cast Holy-Divine-Sacred-Blessed Heal on them, they’ll recover, so don’t worry too much.
When you save them, a Halo will sparkle above your head because you did a good deed.
Just ignore it...
It’s a Cosmetic Effect, so it didn’t seem to do much.
Anyway, after saving them, go around the map in Attack Helicopter Mode and hunt monsters.
If Ogres or Trolls are grouped together, drop Tactical Fireballs on them.
If they’re packed into a canyon or somewhere similar, blast them with magic artillery «Final Spark».
If there are groups of Wyverns flying through the sky, intercept them with Railgun.
You can kill them easily!
After traveling all over the map like that, there should be an Escape Portal somewhere in a corner.
(I can’t reveal the exact location, sorry. We need to sell that information overseas lol)
Take it, and you’ll clear Floor 42!
See? Easy, right?
Anyway, today’s earnings!
532 Wyverns... 1,596,000 Points.
243 Trolls... 1,215,000 Points.
57 Ogres... 570,000 Points.
7 Cyclopes... 70,000 Points.
Total: 3,451,000 Points!!!
34.51 billion won!!!
If you all follow the guide I posted, you can clear Floor 42 without much trouble!
Please use it as a reference!
...
I firmly pressed the post button.
Then I nodded with a satisfied expression.
“I have carried on Uncle Taeseok’s will. I’m happy.”
Are you watching from your hospital bed, Uncle Taeseok?
I have carried on your will.
Please rest well until I obtain a Complete Recovery Potion.
Until then, I’ll protect Hunter Gallery.
“Anyway. Now that I have declared I will become the next strategy guide legend by posting a strategy guide post... The Hunter Gallery users will shower me with praise, right?”
Filled with anticipation, I refreshed the page and checked the comments.
What I saw was not praise.
The comments were full of completely different reactions.
└A strategy guide post? This is another new move from him.
└“It’s my first time writing one, so I’m still very inexperienced. Please keep that in mind lol” <- You’re obviously fucking inexperienced.
└└This isn’t inexperience, he’s completely lost it...
└Okay yeah, so you climb a 100-meter fortress wall right after entering, snipe enemies dozens of kilometers away, kill Ogres and Trolls, heal people, wipe out hundreds of Large Monsters, and earn 3.45 million Points. I understand that PERFECTLY.
└Fuck, I rushed here thinking it was a high-level strategy guide post about the Highest Floors and that I had to tell them to delete it, but of course it’s bait. I worried for nothing.
└Easy, right?
└What the hell is Attack Helicopter Mode?
└Puanox, the greatest genius in history, one who insults even God himself!!! Running for strategy guide legend!!!
...
The comments kept pouring in.
I murmured quietly.
“...Why? Why does everyone think I’m lying?”
I held up my smartphone and carefully examined the information post I had written.
I was certain.
I had recorded what I experienced on Floor 42 as a strategy guide in detail, without a single lie.
I had withheld a few details, such as the Escape Portal’s location and precise terrain information.
But everything I had revealed was true!
Yet for some reason, everyone thought I was playing up some kind of persona...
I felt anger rise in my chest.
“Y-You bastards! I thought you had started to see the light these days! Have you closed your eyes again!!!”
I had believed they would know by now that I, the great one, never bluffed or lied after all I had done.
Yet they had closed their eyes again!!!
“Why do mediocre people keep refusing to believe me! Oh heavens! Primordial Heavenly Venerable!”
To treat the honest Extreme Lunatic Hell Hunter, who spoke nothing but facts, like some attention-seeking weirdo.
It was so unfair...!
I added another comment.
└Blue Dot: No, you mediocre people. It’s my first time writing a strategy guide post, so maybe it’s a little bad, but all of this is true;; Why are you reacting like this? Believe me a little. After everything I’ve shown you, you still can’t believe what I say?
└└After everything he’s shown us
└└Brilliant Dot, how are we supposed to trust a strategy guide post that requires an attack helicopter from the first line?
└└I don’t have a Level 5 Electromagnetic Cannon. Does that mean I can’t go to Floor 42?
└└Blue Dot: Just learn it.
└└Where do I learn it? Curious.
└└Blue Dot: A Goblin Shaman appears in the Tutorial, so accept it as your master, join the Goblin sect, then meet an Orc Shaman in the Middle Floors, learn electric magic, modify it, and use it...
└└?
...
Replies poured in after I commented.
I clicked my tongue.
“Is humanity’s intelligence still insufficient to accept me? Well, it can’t be helped. Ordinary people have always been unable to understand geniuses.”
“I think it’s more that normal people can’t understand a madman’s inner world.”
I lightly ignored Hyeji’s nonsense and continued checking the comments.
Maybe because interest in me had risen after I rescued Kim Taeseok, there were far more comments than usual.
That made me feel good.
Most of them didn’t believe me and thought I was talking nonsense, but at least they were interested.
An attention junkie like me could feel full just from looking at the comments!
Honestly, getting lots of comments might feel better than earning lots of Points.
While I was eagerly reading through the comments...
Suddenly.
Several comments caught my eye.
└Breaking news) Baldy is giving a national address. Apparently, he’s lifting the Hunter General Mobilization Order.
└The General Mobilization Order is being lifted!!!
└This is happening because Blue Dot earned a fuckton of Points, right? Damn, the detained Hunters will get released soon.
└Thank you, Brilliant Dot. Thank you, Big Dot. Thank you, King Awesome Dot. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks to you, the General Mobilization Order is being lifted and I can go home. Thank you, thank you...
└Everyone, turn on the news. Hurry.
...
“They’re lifting the Hunter General Mobilization Order?”
