Title: Is the Undead Difficulty really that hard?
I heard nobody's cleared it yet. Is that for real?
└ For real. It seems at least ten times harder than Lunatic.
└ Wow! You know the Sans difficulty! For those who don't know, let me explain! The Sans difficulty is. So. Fucking. Hard.
└ Did the fucking reply button die, you bastard?
└ You haven't tried it yet?
└ Yeah, I'm thinking about giving it a shot.
└ Don't cross that river, my friend.
└ Don't say it's fucking hard. You're pissing me off.
└ Not even Rank 7 of the Seven Palaces of the Abyss has been cleared yet. That says it all about the difficulty.
└ Personally, Soulslikes don't even come close.
」
"It's that hard?"
A difficulty that made Soulslikes look like child's play.
I thought they were exaggerating, but even I was getting nervous at this point.
└ Plaud probably couldn't clear it either.
└ No doubt. Why else hasn't Plaud even tried it once? They're a fucking coward.
"......"
└ 🖕
└ ? Why the middle finger all of a sudden?
└ Wow, don't tell me you're...
└ Are you Plaud's mom?
"People really will say anything online."
"Even Plaud couldn't do it." Those words were one of my triggers.
Who was I, not as a human, but as Plaud of 72 Dungeons?
Thirty thousand hours of playtime. Number one in the world for 72 Dungeons speedruns. I was the first player to clear Lunatic Difficulty.
"And I can't clear it?"
No way.
I'd been busy lately, so gaming had taken a back seat. Maybe that's why people thought I'd washed up.
To be clear, it wasn't that I couldn't do it. I just hadn't. If I'd tried, the 72 Dungeons Gallery would probably be flooded with posts singing my praises by now.
└ Just wait. I'll prove it.
I turned off my phone and tossed it onto the bed.
At most, a week. No, I'd clear it in four days.
After stretching my stiff body, I sat down in front of the computer.
My hands flew across the keyboard and mouse like a pianist's.
[Character Enoch has died.]

[Exiting 72 Dungeon Strategy Record.]
[Welcome to 72 Dungeon Strategy Record.]
[You have selected character 'Lv. 44 Enoch'.]
It might have looked like Enoch had died, but I did it on purpose.
The infamous Undead Difficulty wasn't actually an official difficulty setting. More precisely, it was an Easter egg.
It triggered when a level 44 character died forty-four times in a row and reconnected as quickly as possible after each death.
For newbies, it was a mind-numbing, wrist-aching grind of repetition. For me, it was as easy as breathing.
After the forty-fourth death, the character turned undead. It wasn't just a change in appearance either. Their stats and other fine details changed as well.
The human NPCs' hostility was a major reason it was so difficult. People often said that if you wanted to vicariously experience a five-star GTA wanted level, you should try Undead Difficulty.
"Oh, there it is."
After dying forty-four times, my character had become a corpse.
Enoch, who had originally been human, had now become a proper Death Knight.
"This should be fun for a change."
I'd wrap this up quickly, then post proof on the forum.
The monitor suddenly flashed, and that was my last thought.
